Cybersecurity is a boardroom discussion today. It is a topic that has attracted attention from CEOs to CISOs and IT Managers. However, when you think about it, like everything else that needs collaboration and cooperation, even cybersecurity needs many hands for it to be successful. Threatcop Community is a new cybersecurity platform that would host cybersecurity leaders in an exclusive environment to talk about people-centric security. Discourse brings out new ideas and that is the sole purpose of this newly launched security community. Think of it as a security forum that would talk about cybersecurity issues emanating from people’s negligence.
The Mission of this Security Community
Cybersecurity is growing more complex day by day and collaboration is the key to combating cyber threats. Threatcop Community is all about interaction and collaboration to come up with more innovative cybersecurity ideas and solutions.

This security community will focus on issues faced by cybersecurity leaders in their respective organizations/industries and members can discuss their experiences.
At Threatcop, we are on a mission to eradicate social engineering. In this pursuit, we are trying to bring together decision-makers taking care of cybersecurity issues in their respective organizations on one platform. The objective behind this is three-pronged:
- Knowledge sharing
- Problem-solving
- Collaboration
Cybersecurity Networking Like Never Before
People-centric cybersecurity has taken the lead in the priority list of cybersecurity decision-makers. For effective germination of ideas, it is required that there is sufficient cybersecurity networking among those who wish to bring about a change in the status quo.
CISOs, CIOs, and other such cybersecurity leaders face issues in their cybersecurity setups like employee negligence in handling social engineering attacks and misuse of official email domains. The onus of discovering a new variety of ideas to tactfully address this issue can only be made available once there is a channel for communication where they can talk about it.
Cybersecurity networking events and forums are therefore the need of the hour. As long as there is ongoing communication among the stakeholders of cybersecurity, the ideation won’t stop. Ideation gives birth to innovation and innovation results in improved output.
In this day and age, cybersecurity leaders need better ROI per each effort invested in strengthening cybersecurity. Imagine this, if a problem can be resolved effectively by safeguarding and empowering people, the security setup would only become a lot stronger in the presence of modern cybersecurity technologies.
This is where cybersecurity networking comes in. In a security community, apart from the meet and greet, new technologies are discussed, new solutions are found and new problems are resolved.
This is what sets apart the Threatcop Community from other cybersecurity communities. The Threatcop Community solely focuses on discourse as a solution to problems faced by the community members.
Where is this Cybersecurity Community?
The Threatcop Community is hosted on Twitter. We have tried using the communities feature introduced by Twitter last year to host our cybersecurity community. It offers a consolidated method to share content ranging from videos, blogs, reports, infographics, and posters. We are also planning on organizing member engagement events that would involve talk shows, webinars, and in-person meetings.
Apart from this, members are always welcome to use this security community platform for organizing their own events given that these events are not turned into marketing opportunities.
Who can Join this Security Community?
The sole purpose of this security community is to connect cybersecurity professionals with each other. Therefore, keeping this in view, the member profile of this cybersecurity community includes all the people in the decision-making chain for an organization. It includes CISOs, CIOs, IT Heads, IT Managers, Information Security Officers, CISM, Director of Information Technology, IT Director, Security Awareness Manager, and people of similar designations.
Benefits of Joining this Security Forum
A cybersecurity forum like the Threatcop Community offers a variety of benefits to the cybersecurity leaders who decide on joining it. These features include:

This can be beneficial in the long run for the achievement of their individual goals and the collective goals of the community.
