Another day, another data leak! According to a report in the Jerusalem Post<\/a><\/strong><\/span>, the data of around 280000 students has been leaked after a cyber attack. It is being suspected that a pro-Palestine Malaysian hacker group called “DragonForce” may be behind this cyber attack. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As per the report, the hacker group hacked into AcadeME, a company whose services are available to thousands of students across Israel. AcadeME helps these students in finding jobs in different organizations.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Malaysian hacker group DragonForce broke the news in a Telegram message on 20th June that said,\u201d THE LARGEST AND MOST ADVANCED STUDENT AND GRADUATE RECRUITMENT NETWORK IN ISRAEL Hacked By DragonForce Malaysia”. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As proof of this data leak, the hacker group has even claimed that they leaked information like emails, passwords, names, addresses, and even phone numbers of students registered with AcadeME. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe hackers leaked the details of about 280,000 students who used the service since 2014\u201d, May Brooks-Kempler, from the Think Safe Cyber Facebook group, told Israeli media.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moreover, later on the same day, this hacker group went further to claim that it has leaked passport information in massive numbers. Recently, the same malicious group was also behind DDoS attacks that affected many Israeli banks including the Bank of Israel, Bank Leumi, and Mizrahi Tefahot.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n
