It even appeared to come from someone they knew. However, when users clicked the <strong>\u201cOpen in Docs\u201d<\/strong> link, they were taken to a fake app that asked for permission to access their Gmail and contacts.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #000000;\">Once access was granted, the fake app sent itself to everyone in the user\u2019s address book. It spread like wildfire.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #000000;\">No virus was downloaded. No attachments were involved.
